Taking a Sister-in-Law for Haj

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Mas-alah: A mahram is a person with whom nikaah is never ever permissible. A sister-in-law [wife’s sister and even brother’s wife] is not a mahram. Accordingly, if the  husband happens to give his wife talaaq (whilst on Haj) or the wife passes away then it is permissible to marry her sister.

By taking a non-mahram along for Haj the haaji becomes a mujrim (criminal in the Shariah). (Aap kê Masaal)
