Reading Time: < 1 minuteHearing the response [of his son – his son’s faithful submission to the Divine Command given,] Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) prepared for the slaughter.
He laid Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam) on the ground, took a sharp knife and passed it over his son’s throat with force. But the knife would not cut!
Then a call came from there [from the Heavens]:
“We called out to him, ‘O Ibraheem! You have confirmed your dream to be true. We reward the honest in this manner.’ Indeed, this was clearly a severe test. And we released him (Isma’eel) with a big sacrificial animal.”
In the narrations it comes that a ram was brought from Jannat which was slaughtered in place of Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam).
Truly, this was a severe test of Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam).
