Reading Time: < 1 minute
Just as there are rights which children have to fulfil of their parents, in the same way there are rights of children which parents have to fulfil. The rights are:
- A man should get married to a pious wife so that pious children are born to him.
- They should be brought up from childhood with affection.
- There is virtue mentioned [in the Hadeeth] for showing love to your children.
- One should not become disheartened with girls especially. Rearing girls carries immense merit and reward.
- If other than the mother, the infant has to be fed with someone else’s milk, one should look for a well-mannered and Deeni-conscious milk mother. The effect of the milk leaves its impression on the infant.
- Among the rights of offspring is to teach them knowledge of the Deen and good character.
- When they are ready to get married, they should be married.
- If your daughter’s husband passes away then you should keep her comfortably in your home till she is married again.
- Her expenses should be borne.
