Nifaas in a Miscarriage

  1. In a miscarriage, if the foetus has developed some human features, such as hair, a nail, a hand, foot, a finger, etc. then it is considered a baby.
  2. The mother goes into nifaas with the birth of such a baby.
  3. All rules of birth are therefore applicable to her, such as ending of iddat (if she was in iddat due to talaaq or death of her husband), etc.
  4. Before the miscarriage if she bleeds it will not be haidh because she is pregnant.
  5. A woman who is pregnant does not have menstrual bleeding.
