The loss of Abu Taalib and Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) in such a short span of time grieved Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) twofold. Accepting this Divine Decree, he bore the double loss with immense patience and submission to Allah Ta’ala.

The effect of the grief on him was so overwhelming that it was feared as to whether Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) would remain alive or not.

Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) always remembered the love and devoted service of Hazrat Khadijah (Radhiyallahu anha) and mentioned it all his life.

For quite some time afterwards the effect of her death and the resultant grief overwhelmed his blessed mind. It only lessened after Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) married Hazrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha).
