Hazrat Aishah Siddeeqah (Radhiyallahu Anha)

Hazrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha) was the daughter of Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (Radhiyallahu anhu), the first Khalifah after Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and the best amongst the Sahabah.

Her mother’s name was Umme Rumaan.

Hazrat Aishah was born 4 years after Nubuwwat.  As she was born after the home of Hazrat Abu Bakr had become illuminated with the Light of Islam, there was no grief and displeasure at her birth as was the custom amongst the Arabs at the birth of a daughter. Rather, there was joy and happiness.

She was brought up like parents who live a simple life bring up their dear children. Besides Allah Ta’ala, who knew that it would be the blessed fortune of this girl that she was to become the dearest wife of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
