What Girls Would be Taught in the Noble Olden Days

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Girls [in the noble olden days] were stopped from doing things against the Shariah and weren’t allowed to look at any book, except the Qur’aan Shareef, Ahadeeth, and Deeni books. They were clearly told that other than these, other things were useless and a waste of time.

Namaaz and Roza [Salaat and Saum] were emphasised, and they were encouraged towards Du’a and Wazeefahs [Istighfaar, Durood, Zikr, etc.].

All Deeni kitaabs were made available to them. They were unable to do anything against the Deen.

If at that time there was no discussion about Deeni knowledge, then how would they be obedient to Allah, adopt Deeni ways and recognize the truth?

Not only women but men also would only pay attention to useful and beneficial education [for their girls] and would bear hardships for the sake of this. Then they would be successful in their efforts and planning, and would live a very comfortable, contented and easy life, without any fear or anxiety for anything [untoward overcoming their daughters].

The truth is that even the children of that time used to be obedient and submissive to their parents, and this was purely the effect of the Ta’leem and Tarbiyat they received, or you could say that it was the wholesome fruits of their pious deeds.
