Ignominy in the Haram

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Watching the women of Egypt, Syria, etc. not adopting Pardah, women from Pakistan and Hindustan also cast aside their Pardah. Then they come to the Haram as if all the men are their mahrams, or they are strolling in the yards of their homes. But this is sheer stupidity.

If a people are embroiled in a sin, the sin does not become permissible.

Then we observe that the bê-pardagi  [lack of pardah of women of foreign countries] – the exposure of their faces –  is cloaked with some dignity and awe. Their dressing, from head to feet, is concealing and they even have socks on their feet. But the dressing of Pakistani women, particularly the women of Punjab and Sindh is absolutely revolting. All the contours of their bodies are visible. They audaciously strut with their bosoms protruding.

The consequence of this is that on account of their shamelessness they are immersed in ma’siyat and fisq [sin and transgression], and their husbands too are sinful because of their women discarding hijaab as they do not stop them at all. They do not correct them. They do not censure them. This is utter shamelessness and bê-ghairati [lack of honour/ignominy].
