The Virtue of a Beautiful Wudhu

It is reported from Hazrat Uthmaan (Radhiyallahu anhu) that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “Whoever makes wudhu and he makes a beautiful wudhu, his wrongs leave his body to the extent that even from beneath his nails the wrongs come out.”

(Bukhaari and Muslim – Mishkaat)

Notes

  1. This Hadeeth also highlights the virtue of wudhu and the merit of cleanliness (Tahaarat).
  2. The Hadeeth points out that the more you make a beautiful wudhu the more your sins are washed away.
  3. The washing away of sins is emphasized by the sins even leaving from the fingertips.
  4. In other words, after making wudhu you are not only cleansed bodily, but you are also thoroughly cleansed from sins.
