Nothing Like Nikaah for a Bond of Love

Hazrat Ibn Abbaas (Radhiyallahu anhu) narrates that Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said: “You have not seen anything like Nikaah to bond two lovers.” (Ibn Maajah)
This means that by virtue of Nikaah the husband and wife develop immense love for and attachment to each other without any previous relation. No other connection creates such love and attachment between two people who hitherto were complete strangers to each other.
