The Isti’aathah of Nooh (Alaihis Salaam)

Allah Ta’ala narrated the story of Nooh (Alaihis Salaam) in which he (Nabi Nooh, Alaihis Salaam) said:
رَبِّ إِنِّيٓ أَعُوْذُ بِكَ أَنْ أَسْئَلَكَ مَا لَيْسَ لِيْ بِهٖ عِلْمٌ
O my Rabb! Verily I seek refuge in You from asking You that which I have no knowledge of.” [Surah Hood, 47]
Upon this, Allah conferred him with two gifts of honour; peace and blessings. This is what is mentioned in Allah Ta’ala’s words:
“It was said: ‘O Nooh! Descend with Our peace and blessings upon you.”
