Shares in a Cow and Camel

1. Seven people can be partners in the Qurbaani of a cow, buffalo or camel.
2. The condition for the above, however, is that none of the partners’ shares should be less than a seventh.
3. Another condition for the validity of this Qurbaani of seven partners is that the intention of each one should be either Qurbaani or Aqeeqah.
4. The niyyat should not be only for the meat.
5. If the share of any of the seven is less than a seventh, then none of their Qurbaani will be valid, neither the Qurbaani of the one who has a complete one seventh and nor the Qurbaani of the one who has a share of less than a seventh.
6. If there are less than seven partners in a cow [or camel], for example there were 5 partners or 6 of them, and none of the shares is less than a seventh, the Qurbaani of everyone will be valid.
7. If there are eight partners, then none of their Qurbaani will be valid.
