The World Has Changed Because Thinking Has Changed

Oh girls! Think carefully, how much things have changed. Just a change in thinking has changed everything. There’s no longer that sparkle, that prosperity, that barkat, no pleasure in anything, no joy in conversations, no beauty in garments, no childhood in children, no wisdom in the elderly. In short, now the world is new, and the world is different.

Instead of modesty and shame, there’s shamelessness. In homes there is a flood of dirty and pornographic literature, from which the plague of immorality and shamelessness is spreading.

Instead of following the Sunnah, there is concern about the world; instead of peace and happiness, there is worry and stress.

Those who used to feed their guests comfortably for years are now worried about themselves in spite of residing in the best of homes. There are no longer those days, those nights, those faces, those lifestyles, those hearts, that courage, those things that used to be interesting and entertaining.

If you even see something like that, it’s like a disturbed dream. In short, there are cries of, “Oh no! Oh no,” coming from everywhere. These are the bitter fruits of corrupt thinking.

Like the soul, so will the angel be. Alas, alas! Those things are just a dream today!

If you have paid attention to my whole book, then here I will suffice by saying that modesty is not just sitting in purdah. Modesty is also not making demands from others because it makes a person low, no matter how much love there be. Dignity is a great thing.
