Procedure of Wudhu

  1. When making wudhu face the Qiblah.
  2. Sit on a raised place so that splashes do not fall on one.
  3. Make the intention of wudhu (niyyat).
  4. Niyyat in the heart suffices without verbally saying.
  5. Thawaab for the wudhu will not be obtained without intention, although the wudhu will be valid.
  6. Recite Bismillah when commencing.
