Pardah/Hijaab – The Natural Temperament of Muslim Females

Pardah (Hijaab) is not contrary to the temperament of Muslim females. The reason for this is that Haya (modesty) is a natural propensity in Muslim females. Therefore, Pardah is in harmony with the temperament.

It is wrong to call it ‘confinement’. Their (Females’) Haya demands that they remain concealed in Pardah. In fact, if they are forced to be out of their homes, then this is against their tabi’at (natural temperament), and that should be called ‘confinement’.
