Change in Number of Days with a Slight Change in Time

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Expected haidh is the first 5 days of the month. However, the first two days of the month she was clean. Then she bled for 11 days.

The ruling in this case is as follows:

  • In view of the bleeding surpassing 10 days, she will revert to her aadat.
  • She did not experience any bleeding on the first 2 days of her aadat, however.
  • Her haidh, therefore, is the first 3 days when the bleeding started.
  • The 3 days of bleeding were in her expected period, and it fulfilled the minimum required days for haidh, although less than her expected number of days which hitherto was 5 days.
  • Her aadat has thus changed insofar as number of days is concerned, together with a slight change in the time as it now is from the 3rd of the month.
