Reading Time: < 1 minute
  • Despite her perfect potential she was submissive, humble and she would conceal her spiritual stage.
  • When it came to spiritual knowledge, she would keep quiet, simply saying, “I don’t know.”
  • When asked about Bai’t and Ta’leem for a female mureed she simply gave an account of the episode of her bai’t at the hands of her father.
  • She said that for a long time she desired to be bai’t to her father, but she could not muster up the courage to ask.
  • Finally, one day she pleaded: “Please make me bai’t also?”
  • Her father replied: “Daughter! You do not have to plead like this. You are mine. Yes, if you wish to make Taubah then, okay.”
  • After Asr that day Moulana Gangohi (Rahmatullahi alaih) called her. She sat by him and with her hands placed in his hand, he read the Holy Aayat: “When the believing women come to you taking the Bai’t….”
  • Thereafter he read the customary words expressed at the time of initiating a mureed and he made her bai’t.
  • He then gave Ta’leem of Zikr of the Lataaif (the Spiritual Faculties of a human, such as the spiritual heart and the soul,) and of reciting some Du’aas narrated in the Hadeeth.
  • In spite of repeatedly being asked by others of her spiritual states and experiences she would not say anything.
  • Once, Maulana Khaleel Ahmed Saheb told her forcefully: “Your Lataaif are all engaged in Zikr.”
  • She simply replied calmly and innocently: “I don’t know.”
  • She was truly a precious gem among females.
