The First Muslim

One very great virtue and honour that was bestowed to Hazrat Khadijah and not to anyone else in this world, is that she was the very first person to accept Islam. Before her, there was neither any male Muslim nor elderly Muslim nor any child who was a Muslim.

When Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) returned home from the Cave of Hira and narrated the incident of his encounter with the Angel and his Nubuwwat, she immediately testified:

اَشْهَدُ اَنَّكَ لَرَسُوْلُ اللهِ

“I bear witness that indeed you are the Rasool of Allah”

Thereafter, whatever help, support and consolation she gave Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in his grief and adversities have already been mentioned.

Once, Hazrat Jibreel (Alaihis Salaam) said: “Yaa Rasulallah! Khadijah is coming to you with a dish of food. When she arrives, convey to her the Salaam of Allah and my Salaam and give her glad tidings of a house in Jannah made from pearls in which there are all types of comforts and not even the slightest inconvenience.”
