Returning Home from Safar and Passing Away

1. Some fasts were missed during safar. Upon reaching home the person passed away. This person will be accountable for that number of fasts which equalled the number of days he was back at home for.
2. He should issue a directive of fidyah for the outstanding fasts numbering the days he returned home.
3. The surplus fasts which he missed, that is over and above the number of days he was back at home for, are excused and not accountable for.
