Sunnat Acts of Wudhu

- Some acts of wudhu are such that if left out the wudhu is done, however by doing them one receives thawaab (divine reward).
- The Shariat has furthermore emphasised doing these acts.
- If someone leaves them out most of the time then he/she will be sinful.
- Such acts are known as Sunnat.
- There are ten Sunnat acts of wudhu. They are:
5.1 First, to say Bismillah when commencing the wudhu.
5.2Then to wash both hands till the wrists.
5.3 To make miswaak.
5.4 To rinse the mouth.
5.5 To put water into the nostrils.
5.6 To make masah of the entire head. (Note: Masah of quarter of the head is Fardh.)
5.7 To wash each part thrice, that is the mouth, the nose, the face, the hands and the feet. (Note: Washing the entire face, the hands till the elbows and the feet till the ankles once each is Fardh.)
5.8 To make masah of the ears.
5.9 To make khilaal of the fingers.
5.10 To make khilaal of the toes.
