5 Days Bleeding, 54 Days Clean, 1 Day Bleeding, 14 Days Clean, 1 Day Bleeding

Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. Haidh Cycle: 5 days
  2. Tuhr Cycle: 55 days
  3. Case: 5 days bleeding, 54 days clean, 1 day bleeding, 14 days clean, 1 day bleeding.
  4. After her cycle of 5 days haidh, she was clean for 54 days which is 1 day short of her full tuhr cycle.
  5. She then bled for only 1 day followed by an incomplete clean period (14 days) and another 1 day of bleeding.
  6. The 54-day clean period, in view of being a complete tuhr period, separates the 5 days bleeding from the bleeding which followed the 54 days.
  7. The second clean period was only 14 days, one day less than a complete tuhr. Hence, this clean period does not separate the 1-day bleeding before and after.
  8. She, therefore, bled in effect for 16 days (1+14+1).
  9. This exceeds the limit of haidh which is 10 days.
  10. Therefore, she returns to her habitual cycle of 5 days haidh and 55 days tuhr.
  11. The first 1-day bleeding is therefore part of her 55-day tuhr cycle.
  12. The first 5 days of her 14 days ‘clean’ state are her haidh days.
  13. The remaining days (9 clean and 1 bleeding) she performs her Salaat, etc.
  14. The 1 day at the end is istihaadhah.
