Sisters and Aunts in Custody of a Child

  1. In the case of the mother, maternal and paternal grandmothers not being in a position to take care and custody of the child then the right of custody goes to the sisters of the child.
  2. If the child has a sister and a stepsister, the blood sister enjoys prior right to custody.
  3. If the child has a sister with whom he shares the same mother, this sister enjoys prior right to custody of the child over the sister who shares only the same father with the child.
  4. If the child has no sisters, or they are not qualified to take care of the child, then the maternal aunt has the right.
  5. After the maternal aunt is the turn of the paternal aunt.
