If you want to live this life with comfort, ease and enjoyment then follow the advice I give you.

First, I will tell you the way to live in your parents’ home, from which you can gain a lot of experience. Then, I will show you the pattern of your in-laws’ home and show you how to manage it, so you will be familiar with interaction, and no one will be able to hurt you. Instead,

• everyone will give you comfort,
• your parents will be happy,
• observing your good ways and character will bring them immense joy,
• your husband will be obedient to you,
• the entire family will be sympathetic and helpful towards you,
• you will acquire the good character of your elders,
• everyone will be happy with your management,
• and everyone will respect you.

In short, first succeed in your parents’ home applying your effort. If you inculcate this here [by your parents’ home], then it will be the same by your in-laws.
