What Actually is Qurbaani?

Qurbaani is actually a lesson in descriptive form which an educated and even uneducated person can understand.

The lesson is that Allah is not in need of the blood and flesh of anyone and anything. He is:

وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُ.

Such a Pure and Magnificent Being is neither in need of skins nor of the sacrifice of flesh.

On the contrary, He wishes to teach you that you, too, should sacrifice yourself at the altar of His Presence, and by you sacrificing your dear and precious animal you have sacrificed yourself.
