A Lone Sighter of the Moon Who is Not a Practising Muslim

1. Someone saw the moon for Ramadhaan Shareef alone. Besides him, no one else saw the moon. This person, however, is not a practising Muslim. His testimony of having sighted the moon does not make fasting waajib on the people.
2. Nevertheless, this person should fast, despite his testimony being rejected and the people not fasting.
3. Then on the 29^th if the moon is not sighted, the person who was the only sighter of the moon for the beginning of Ramadhaan and this was his 30^th fast, he will fast the 31^st day as well.
4. He will make Eid with the rest. He cannot make his own Eid on the 31^st day.
