Former British Prime Minister’s Great-Grandfather Was a Hafidh
The Former British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson’s Great-Grandfather was a Hafidh of the Qur’an!
Ali Kemal Bey, the great-grandfather of the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson was an Ottoman-born Turk. He was a journalist, a newspaper editor, a poet and a liberal-leaning politician. However, the most impressive thing about him was: He had memorized the Qur’an Kareem!
His first wife was an Anglo-Swiss woman called Winifred Brun. She gave birth to a son who was named Osman Kemal (who later became Wilfred Johnson). He got married to Irene Williams. From their marriage they got a son called Stanley Johnson who got married to Charlotte Fawcett and they got four children. The first born is Boris Johnson, the former British Prime Minister.
In other words, the great-grandfather of the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson was not only a Muslim, he was also a Hafidh of the Qur’an! This proves that acquiring only a part of Deen (like becoming a Hafidh) is not enough! We have to struggle to see that Deen enters fully in our lives and the lives of our spouses, our children and also our grandchildren!
We also have to ensure that we maintain an Islamic atmosphere in our homes, otherwise, chances are that our future generations may leave Islam and they may enter other religions, nauzubillah.
May Allah Ta’ala grant us proper understanding…aameen.
