When a Person Dies

Reading Time: < 1 minute
  1. When a person dies then straighten all his/her limbs.
  2. Take a piece of cloth and tie his/her mouth.
  3. Tie the cloth by taking it under the mayyit’s chin and bringing both ends above the head where the cloth will be tied.
  4. This is done so that the mayyit’s mouth does not open up.
  5. Then close both the mayyit’s eyelids.
  6. Tie the two big toes together.
  7. Tying the two big toes together is for the feet not to stretch out.
  8. Then cover the mayyit with a sheet.
  9. Thereafter, make haste in bathing and enshrouding (ghusl and kafan of) the mayyit.
