The Standard for Expenses of the Wife

1. In the expenses which the husband must provide for his wife the status of both the husband and the wife shall be taken into consideration.
2. If the husband is rich and the wife comes from a rich family then she will receive expenses for food, etc. according to the standard of the rich.
3. If both are poor then the standard will be of poor people.
4. If the husband is poor while the wife comes from a rich family, or the wife comes from an affluent household while the husband is a pauper, then the expenses will be in between the rich and the poor, that is a middle-class standard.
