Hajj of the Ka’bah Shareef was made fardh in the sixth year of the hijrat of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) performed it shortly before he passed away. This hajj is called Hajjatul Widaa’ and the journey was a noteworthy event in the life of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) filled with Deeni and worldly benefit for the religion of Islam.

There were so many Muslims present on this mubaarak journey that they were uncountable. Nevertheless, an estimate of 124 000 was made.

On this journey, Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Whoever wishes to ask a question should ask. Perhaps after this year I will not be able to meet you again.”

Hazrat Aishah (Radhiyallahu anha) was also present on this journey, together with the other wives of Rasulullah (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam).
