At Least One Male Witness Necessary for a Nikaah Contract

  1. If there are no males present as witnesses for the Nikaah, there are only women present, then the Nikaah is not valid.
  2. Even if there are a dozen women present, but in the absence of a male witness the Nikaah will not be valid.
  3. There must be at least one male witness.
