The Firmness and Steadfastness of Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam)
Reading Time: < 1 minute
When consulting with Hazrat Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam), even if Hazrat Ibraheem (Alaihis Salaam) thought in his mind of how Isma’eel is going to respond, the consultation was just as a precaution, otherwise the natural potential of Hazrat Isma’eel (Alaihis Salaam) was such that there was no scope for a refusal.
Thus, Hazrat Isma’eel immediately answered: “(Why should I have any reservation!?) Carry out the command which Allah Ta’ala has given you. (And if have a doubt that, though I am firm right now, maybe later I do not remain steadfast,):
سَتَجِدُنِيْٓ إِنْ شَآءَ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الصّٰبِرِيْنَ
Insha Allah, you will find me to be firm and steadfast.”
